OUR HISTORY
Abundant Community Actions provides a holistic approach to students’ education. We offer the best educational resources available,
outstanding programs, and a talented, passionate, and dedicated staff to help participants reach their highest potential in school and
in life and turn their communities into healthy places to live, work, learn and play.
ABUNDANT COMMUNITY ACTIONS was created in 2002 in response to the call for higher quality academic enrichment programs to
support school curicula and enhance students performance. The organization was incorporated in 2005, and received its Determination
Letter in 2007. The IRS recognizes our organization as a 501 (c) (3), tax-exempt, Public Charity.
A nine member Board of Directors has oversight of the Organization. The purpose of Abundant Community Actions is to support children,
and families with diverse and innovative programs in the domains of education, healthcare, and youth development.
We help students develop the aspirations, confidence, skills and values they need to succeed in high school and pursue
higher education and careers. In active partnership with elementary, middle, and high schools, we operate excellent after-school mentoring,
tutoring and summer enrichment programs. We offer following opportunities:
Abundant Community Actions is challenging children, and youth, and assisting them to succeed in their life and to become responsible
leaders in the 21st century. Parents and guardians are our organization’s natural partners in the education of their children. Every
effort is made to fully incorporate students’ families into the life of our programs.
We support middle school students through high school and colleges with a high quality, and best structured program of collegepreparation, including One-on-One college preparation courses, high school credit accumulation tracking, enrichment courses,
SAT test preparation, college application assistance, guidance on college admissions, financial aid, and tuition assistance, etc.
OUR MISSION is...
That all children, adolescents, and their families have access to a quality, age, and individually appropriate education and care. Our main focus, however, is that disadvantaged children e.g. those from
low income families, have equitable access to high quality programs. In addition to SAT preparation, we emphasize such subjects as Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, and Technology.
We support students from Middle School through High School, and college particularly those whose academic performance in primary grades has lagged, but who could benefit from a comprehensive
program designed to meet their needs. We provide a nurturing, challenging and effective educational program.
Abundant Community Actions is striving to eliminate the achievement gap among students. In the short term, we assist students and provide high-quality education programs, academic support,
leadership training, and counseling. Abundant community Actions intermediate term mission is to play an instrumental role in students’ education and to become a major provider of community and
after-school services. In the long term, our actions intend to enable those being helped to overcome challenges, embark on careers, and assume leadership roles in national and international level.
Every effort is made to fully incorporate students’ families into the life of our organization. Parents are invited to participate to all community programs and learning opportunities offered by our
organization. Through counseling and support, we assist parents and families to become more involved in their children education.
We recognize that nurturing the culture of excellence and leadership in our young citizens is a strategic and an essential investment in the US national interest.
